Radiology/Ultrasound Clinical Applications

Sep 05, 2025 Leave a message

In recent years, the clinical application of ultrasound medical technology has expanded rapidly, with various new imaging technologies and diagnostic methods constantly innovating to meet clinical needs. The value of ultrasound imaging is increasingly prominent in the diagnosis of complex and critical abdominal diseases in pediatrics and in interventional treatment of pediatric diseases. In chronic joint injuries, rheumatic metabolic diseases, and other lesions, ultrasound has become an indispensable diagnostic and treatment technology in this field. Regarding improving the specificity and sensitivity of ultrasound diagnosis, new technologies such as ultrasound contrast-enhanced imaging and elastography have significantly improved the accuracy and reliability of disease diagnosis compared to traditional ultrasound imaging. Furthermore, with the introduction of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) management model, significant results have been achieved in optimizing ultrasound quality control processes and improving diagnostic quality. This article aims to introduce the latest developments in the clinical application of ultrasound imaging from the aspects of pediatric abdominal ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, new ultrasound technologies, and ultrasound quality control.

Ultrasound examination is characterized by real-time, accuracy, convenience, safety, and economy, and its clinical applications cover almost all clinical disciplines. In recent years, with the advancement of ultrasound imaging technology, the innovation of related diagnostic and treatment technologies, the accumulation of ultrasound clinical practice experience, and the growth of ultrasound subspecialty talents, the scope of clinical application of ultrasound medicine has been further expanded. At the same time, the introduction of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) management model has achieved remarkable results in optimizing ultrasound quality control processes and improving diagnostic quality, providing important support for the standardized management of ultrasound medicine. This article intends to briefly introduce the new developments in the clinical application of ultrasound imaging from the aspects of pediatric abdominal ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, new ultrasound technologies, and ultrasound quality control.

Two major innovation directions have emerged in the field of industrial inspection:

The analysis of internal porosity of additive manufacturing components establishes a three-dimensional reconstruction model through C-scan technology.

In the field of biomedical engineering, the schwannoma localization system developed in 2024 integrates a high-frequency probe (20MHz) and elastography, and the nerve bundle tracking error is controlled within the range of ±0.3mm.

Fetal cranial screening technology reduces the standard section acquisition time from 12 minutes to 3 minutes through volume navigation function [5].
